Review highlights

Based on 208 reviews

Cedar & Salt CoffeeHouse is consistently praised for its inviting and comfortable atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation or casual meetups. Reviewers frequently highlight the friendly and knowledgeable staff who enhance the overall experience. The coffee, especially the espresso and specialty drinks, receives positive recognition for quality and freshness. Patrons appreciate the variety of house-made pastries and breakfast options, with particular mentions of generous cinnamon rolls and savory items like burritos and sandwiches. While most baked goods are made in-house, some packaged items like bagels have been noted, though this does not significantly detract from the quality. Overall, the combination of thoughtfully curated menu offerings, attentive service, and a cozy ambiance positions Cedar & Salt CoffeeHouse as a favored destination for both locals and visitors seeking a well-rounded coffee shop experience.

Fine coffee shop with the usual coffee options but also a nice selection of store-baked pastries and breakfast options - try the burrito. Open and airy space and friendly staff.

This spot is perfect for a quiet cozy place to relax with a snack and some coffee roasted fresh. Wether it's cookies, ice cream, bread, muffins, coffee or a wonderful sandwich made in house. You have everything you need. Stop and check out next time you are in the area.

I love this place. The people are friendly every time I visit. The espresso is great, which is the primary reason I am there. We have tried several of the pastries, all of which were delicious. I didn't enjoy the lavender scone but that was simply a matter of taste. The bagels are packaged/store bought so know that going in - it was still just fine. The atmosphere is nice. It's a cute spot to hang out for an hour or so and get some work done or chat with a friend. The prices are a bit high (think 5 for a cookie.. but they are very good) which is typical for the island, but it is also a newer establishment so I'm hoping things will even out a little in the future. My only other hope for improvement in the future is the iced coffee. I've tried it a few times and it usually tastes burnt. Go for hot.

Enjoyed my 1st visit! The atmosphere is great, the seating area design is comfortable. I got a 16oz latte, the wonderful staff explained that it’s usually three shots but it’s changeable. I tried their way and found it was really powerful(that was my 2nd latte that day) Perhaps next time I’ll try two shots for 16oz. And! The Cinnamon roll is like HUGE and tasty! For 6.5 it’s like 3 cinnamon rolls elsewhere. It also has a hint of liquor? Highly recommended

Great coffee, great vibes! Visited late morning on a Monday. Loved the chocolate orange mocha and the potato leek pastry. The crew and the customers were wonderful.

Cute location, easily accessible. Love that most of the items are scratch made. Delicious take on a parfait with added pumpkin. Granola is on par. Americano was smooth and delightful. Definitely a must stop if you’re in the area and want a great local cuppa joe.

Very cozy little coffee shop on Whidbey island. Service was quick and drinks were hot. We especially loved the jar of daily affirmations. Would love to come back if we're ever in the area again

This is a lovely gem and is worth the stop on your way. I called in advance to see what their gluten free options were. They have more options than any coffee shop I have been to before. The coffee with oat milk was stellar. I ordered a cloud bite but they realized they were out of the one I ordered after I paid. So they brought me a different one AND a gf blueberry muffin. The cook came out to chat with me and check in. This is the best service I have ever had at a coffee shop. I will be raving about it. All their stuff is made from scratch. Don’t listen to the 1 star review. Some people are just trolls. These folks are solid people and deserve all the success. Let’s keep them going. I will be back.
